The Immigration Law Committee shall provide a forum to address issues in the area of immigration law; promote the understanding of immigration related laws by the KCBA membership; and monitor changes within the field and make recommendations concerning legislation.
Committee Goals:
- Promote cross-understanding between immigration and non-immigration lawyers through an initial seminar and through published articles;
- Establish itself as a resource within the KCBA for all immigration-related questions and issues through the creation of educational resources;
- Provide networking and mentoring opportunities for its members;
- Promote awareness of both business and family immigration issues within the KCBA membership and the community as a whole.
This committee generally meets on the 2nd Tuesday of the month at Noon at the KCBA Office.
