The Kane County Bar Foundation (KCBF) awards grants annually to local nonprofit organizations who work to meet the unfilled legal needs of local citizens. Since 1996, the Foundation has been proud to offer funds to encourage and reward cooperation and creativity to develop new and innovative programs and resources to better meet the legal needs of the community.
In 2011, eight grants totaling $12,500 were awarded by the Foundation to local organizations and agencies in their quest to assist members of the community with their legal issues. Grants were awarded to: Administer Justice, Association for Individual Development, Community Crisis Center, Illinois Legal Aid Online, Marklund, Mutual Ground, PADS Hope Legal Clinic, and the Special Ed Advocacy Center.
This is a competitive process. Only one application will be accepted per agency per funding year. Applications are due no later than July 1.
The Kane County Bar Foundation is able to provide the grants through fund-raising efforts such as its annual Gala, and through the direct generosity of attorneys and other interested individuals. Anyone wishing to make a tax-deductible donation in support of the Kane County Bar Foundation should contact the Foundation Executive Director, Jan Wade, firstname.lastname@example.org.
