Attorneys Partner with Tri-Cities Salvation Army and the Community Crisis Center for Holiday Cheer

The Kane County Bar Association and the Kane County Law Library and Self-Help Legal Center are working with three local agencies to spread some holiday cheer this season.

The Salvation Army provided “Angel Tags” listing a child’s gift wish through their “Angel Tree Program”.  All forty tags displayed on the tree in the Law Library at the Kane County Judicial Center were selected by Kane County attorneys and court personnel.  Toys and clothing will be distributed by the Salvation Army on December 17th, and Kane County Bar Association Members will volunteer as “elves” that day through the KCBA Cares volunteer program.

Additionally, bar association members are encouraged to bring donations to the annual holiday party.  Dozens more toys, games, books, and puzzles, along retail gift cards will be delivered to the Community Crisis Center in time for holiday giving.  The bar association is also conducting a “professional clothing drive”, and everyone is encouraged to donate their gently worn business clothing, which will be given to the Kane County Public Defender’s Office.

The Kane County Bar Association will gladly accept donations on behalf of the Salvation Army, the Community Crisis Center and the Public Defender’s Office.  If you would like to help out, please contact KCBA Executive Director, Jan Wade, at 630.762.1915.
