NOTICE OF VACANCY ASSOCIATE JUDGE 16TH JUDICIAL CIRCUIT
The Supreme Court of the State of Illinois has authorized the Chief Judge of the 16th Judicial Circuit to post a notice of vacancy for two Associate Judges. The new Associate Judge positions are the result of the Supreme Court’s appointment of Associate Judge James Hallock to the position of Circuit Court Judge, Third Sub-Circuit, and the pending retirement of Associate Judge Allen Anderson. Applications are now being accepted for this vacancy which will be filled by vote of the Circuit Judges of the 16th Judicial Circuit.
Any attorney licensed to practice law in the State of Illinois, a U.S. Citizen, and a resident of the 16th Judicial Circuit may apply by completing two signed original application forms and submitting both applications to:

Applications must be received in the Administrative Office within 30 days after the date of this Notice. The deadline is 5:00 p.m. on November 14th, 2012. A form for application can be obtained from either the Chief Judge’s Office, the Administrative Office of the Illinois Courts, or from the Illinois Supreme Court website, www.state.il.us/court and download from the documents/applications/forms link. Applications will not be accepted if submitted electronically or via facsimile.
Applicants may be required to make themselves available for an interview with a committee of the Circuit Judges of the 16th Judicial Circuit. Applicants will be notified of the date, time, and place of their interview at the close of the application phase.

NOTICE TO ASSOCIATE JUDGE APPLICANTS
You are required to provide nine (9) copies of the judicial applications to the Chief Judge’s Office. Applicants may be interviewed by a committee of Circuit Judges on a date and time determined after the close of the application process. On a separate piece of paper, please provide your contact information including home phone, cell phone, and email address.
The Kane County Bar Association will be conducting separate interviews and will be contacting the candidates to arrange an interview time.
