The Kane County Bar Association’s Shabby Road, Saturday April 12 at ECC’s Blizzard Theatre, Offers an Evening of Hilarity With Song Parodies Ripped Straight From the Headlines
ST. CHARLES, Illinois (April 1, 2014) - All the politicians you love to hate will be satirized at the Kane County Bar Association’s production of Shabby Road, Pols and Lies on the Campaign Trail (A Nukalar Extravagabanza), Saturday, April 12 at Elgin Community College’s Blizzard Theatre. Tickets are $40-$50 and include a 6 pm reception with hors d’oeuvres and cocktails. The show begins at 7:30 pm. Shabby Road contains screwball skits and irreverent song parodies to Beatles tunes like The Fool on the Hill, Polythene Pam and Mean Mr. Mustard, and to songs by Afroman, Mariah Carey, Johnny Cash, Elvis Costello, The Steve Miller Band, The Police, The Who, and many more! DisBard, and Loren Golden on piano, appear as the Shabby Road band.
