The City of Elgin seeks an Assistant Corporation Counsel.
Responsibilities include providing legal advice and representation for the City on a variety of areas of local government law, drafting and reviewing of ordinances, contracts and other legal documents, legal research and drafting of opinions, state and federal litigation including ordinance enforcement, arbitrations, real estate transactional work and other duties as assigned.

Salary range $108,400 – $173,600, depending upon qualifications and experience, plus comprehensive benefit package. Applications will be reviewed when submitted.
