Dear Valued KCBA Member,

Membership Renewal for the 2027 Membership Year starts TODAY—July 1st—and will run through the end of the month of July. Please renew your membership by July 31st by signing into your KCBA web page portal at www.kanecountybar.org . On behalf of President Molina and the Board of Directors, I want to sincerely thank you for your membership.

Please consider the following when signing up:

Please check your contact information on your renewal page. It is important that you have the correct information listed such as firm name, address, phone numbers, etc. Please note that we have made your birthday a mandatory field.

Have you considered becoming a Sustaining Member of the KCBA? For a $250 annual donation you would receive:

• A bronze name plate to wear to all events
• 2 -$25 coupons to any KCBA event (except golf outing & Bar Show)
• Name recognition on a plaque in the KCBA office with all Sustaining Members
• Window Clings showing that you are a Sustaining Member of the KCBA
• Our Sustaining Membership logo to put on your website
• Our Sustaining Members are listed on our KCBA webpage, within each issue of the Bar Briefs Magazine, within the Directory, as well as within four thank you e-blasts which will be sent to the KCBA membership each quarter.

Are you looking to grow your business? Try our Lawyer Referral Service! We take over 1,600 requests each year from people looking for lawyer referrals and we currently only have 51— yes—51 attorneys in our LRS. For $300 you can participate in four different panels, and receive referrals sent to your email. There is no follow-up with the KCBA and no reaching out to the requestors. They will call your office, and all you need to do is give them a free 30-minute phone consultation. At that point it is up to you if you want the case. For more information, contact Kara Schwan at (630) 762-1915 with your questions.

Again, there will be an opportunity to donate to the KCBA to pay down our mortgage. The KCBA will continue with the “Pop the Balloon” fundraising campaign to pay off the outstanding balloon mortgage balance of $241,293.41 which will be due on August 17, 2027. We received around $5K last year, and it is our hope to double that amount this year. Our goal is to invest the monies received and then use that money to either pay off or help re-finance to a smaller mortgage in 2027. If you have any questions, please contact Gina Armstrong, Executive Director, or President Nydia Molina.

Thank you for taking your time to renew your membership and to consider these additional items. By working together, the Kane County Bar Association, the oldest bar association in the State of Illinois, will continue to move forward.

As always, I am available to you via telephone or email.

Sincerely,

Gina Armstrong
Executive Director
