CASA Kane County is seeking an attorney to join its Legal Department. We welcome applications from attorneys at different stages of their careers. The CASA/GAL Attorney is responsible for the management and prosecution of files to which CASA Kane County is appointed as guardian ad litem (GAL) in the 16th Judicial Circuit of Illinois, including but not limited to the Abuse and Neglect and Juvenile Delinquency Courtrooms. Position involves supporting multiple attorneys, opening files, discovery preparation, dictation, filing with the clerk, basic pleading preparation, answering phones, correspondence, scheduling, docketing, trial preparation. Clio is a plus.
Required Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an ABA-accredited law school.
- Active Illinois law license in good standing.
- Demonstrated litigation or courtroom experience.
- Commitment to CASA Kane County’s mission and the best interests of abused and neglected children.
